I got a call from this number, where the person said he was from my internet provider. When I asked for proof, he gave me a supposed work ID and a name, which sounded English but had an accent, so I wasn’t convinced. He wanted me to grab a laptop or tablet and was going on about BT doing upgrades in my area. Since I’m working remotely, I told him I couldn’t just switch devices easily as I was busy with work. I also mentioned I’d check with my company’s IT team first. Suddenly, he started swearing at me and hung up the phone. Quite rude!
