I received a call earlier today from someone claiming to represent something called Citizen Financial Advisory Service. They offered to handle my PPI claim for me, suggesting that if their assessment showed it to be over £3500, I might have to pay them £495 to move forward. They mentioned they’d ring back tomorrow with the outcome of their checks. However, they asked for my card details to charge a mere penny for verification purposes, which I found rather suspicious. I expressed my concern and refused to share any information with this cold caller, even though I was in the midst of searching for the company online while we spoke. Frankly, they could very well be a scam, and there's no guarantee they are who they say they are. They did leave the ball in my court, suggesting I could initiate a callback if I wished to continue, but I can’t shake the feeling that something is off. Has anyone else experienced a similar conversation with this number?

Got a call from someone called Ryan on 1792776994 about PPI. I asked him where he got my info from, like the Data Protection Act says they have to tell me. He said it came from different websites but wouldn’t say which ones, and then he just hung up when I told him I never said they could use my details and that he was breaking the law. He did say claiming PPI is simple and you can just check on a Government site if you want to know.
