I got a call where all I heard was some company name from a menu, but it was pretty hard to make out, then it asked me to press different numbers. They gave me some kind of reference number. Later, a man rang from a number that was almost the same, claiming his firm pays compensation to anyone who’s sold a car in the last three years for less than its worth. But honestly, I’ve never owned or sold a car, so that doesn’t add up. Also, the idea that they’re paying out to people who undersold their cars just doesn’t seem legit to me.

I’ve been inundated with a plethora of recorded calls from this number, insisting on collecting a debt that I categorically do not owe. I’ve already had a chat with the actual client they purport to represent, and they’ve assured me there’s no such debt in existence. Got a call from Zinc Credit about a Vodaphone bill, but I’ve paid everything on time. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Some bloke sounded pretty legit, said he was ringing from Vodaphone's client and wanted me to verify my address. Thankfully, I've never dealt with Vodaphone, so I just ended the call.

Zinc Group called me as I had some outstanding payment with Vodafone, which ended up with them because of some personal issues. They seem to be genuine, but with the other reviews I’ve seen, I’m not entirely convinced.

This number has been constantly calling and texting me non stop. No idea how they got hold of my digits since I shifted last January. The debt they keep saying I owe changes every time they call. Total scammers!

This Zinc firm suddenly got in touch with me just when I owed Vodafone for two months and was about to be cut off. Vodafone had given me a week to sort out the payment or they'd cancel my contract. I paid right away, and it turned out it was just a banking mistake. But then Zinc called and messaged me, claiming they're Vodafone's debt collectors, and they even sent a letter nearly three weeks after I'd already paid. Now, my question is, since they’re obviously scammers, how on earth do they have such current and exact info? The timing is way too suspicious.

Never heard of zinc group before but they keep ringing me non stop and leaving messages on my voicemail saying I owe money. I looked at my credit report though and I’m already paying what I need to, so I just ignore all their calls and messages.

These people are obviously trying to rip off BT customers who have already paid up. They keep ringing me, saying I havent paid and threatening court and getting on some blacklist. BT confirmed to me this isnt their doing and I dont owe anything.

Stratford upon Avon - these folks claim to be a debt collection firm and say they’re ringing on behalf of a company I actually owe money to. Thing is, I had COVID and completely lost track of it. But I’m not sure if these people are legit since the figure they’re asking for doesn’t match the amount on the letter I got. I think it’s safer if I ring the company directly to sort out my payment, rather than trust these callers.
