Got a call from 01782 756234, a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from “your internet security” asking if my broadband was still online. I told her I don't have any internet security and asked who she was, then she just hung up. There must be some agency or regulator who can take action against this number, considering all the scam reports linked to it here?

Claimed to represent Microsoft, they did, and insisted there was an alarming issue with my computer linked to my Microsoft Live account. According to them, it was so serious that even my antivirus couldn’t pick it up. Utter nonsense, just a complete con!

Got a call on my phone around 10:05 today. The bloke had a foreign accent and tried to say my name, but got it wrong. Asked if it was me, I said kind of and asked what the call was about. He said he was ringing for Nationwide Building Society to do a customer service survey. I told him I wasn’t interested and he kept saying he wasn’t trying to sell anything. I just said thanks but no thanks and ended the call!

I received a call from a number I didn't recognise on my mobile, so I chose to ignore it. After doing a quick search, I discovered it originated from Stoke on Trent. The caller didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, which leads me to believe it was just another nuisance call. It’s high time we found a way to put an end to these unwelcome interruptions, don’t you think?

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT. I told them I didn't use BT. Then they switched and said they were from Virgin Media, but I told them I’m not with them either. Then they asked if I was Mr David Howell. I said no, obviously not - I'm a woman. After that, they just hung up. Pretty clear it was a scam trying to get into my computer or my info.

Got a call from an Asian lady who said she was with Nationwide Building Society and even used my name and an old postcode. When I mentioned that the postcode was wrong, she just ended the call straight away.

Got a call today, they said it was about the windows on my computer and asked if I could be at my PC. When I asked how they knew I had Windows, they said it was from my registration. I told them to ring back another time but decided to block the number after looking it up.

Got a call from a bloke claiming he’s from citizens advice saying he can sort out my debts. Bit odd cause usually it takes ages to even get a slot with them if you’re struggling. I’d be careful with this one, best to block or just ignore the call.

I got a call from a guy with a foreign accent who first said his name was David. I asked him who he was and why he was ringing before telling him who I was. Then he suddenly said his name was Trevor and asked me who I was again. I can vouch that the person mentioning the offer of inappropriate services is right. I got bombarded with calls, like over 100 times, from the same number asking if I wanted a Nigerian postman to wash my privates with his mouth. I wasn’t having any of it and told them exactly where to shove it.

Got a call saying I was in an accident that wasnt my fault and they wanted to help me take legal action against the other person. I told the lady that for her to know about my accident, she probably must be the other driver as I hadnt reported anything to my insurance yet and i needed her info to sue her.
