Some guy rang me asking to verify my full name and even got my postcode right. When I asked where he was calling from, he just ended the call.

The person on the other end wasn’t speaking English, there was some other language playing in the background for about half a minute before they finally said hello and asked if I had life insurance. I told them I wasn’t really thinking about that since I’m only 23 and not planning to kick the bucket anytime soon. They got pretty rude and ended the call abruptly, like they just hung up on me cause I didn’t take them seriously.

I asked who was calling and she replied that it was fine and she's not trying to sell me anything. I told her the line was terrible and I couldn’t hear properly, then they just ended the call. They had my full name but an old postcode from like 6 years back.

They rang me three times. When I finally picked up, some Asian bloke asked for me by my surname. Then he tried to say he was from Aviva and wanted to chat about life insurance, using a first name that definitely wasn’t mine. I asked him to say the name again and told him it wasn’t me. Then he got all aggressive, saying “I asked if you were #### ###### and you said yes. Shame on you!” and just hung up! I usually just ignore unknown numbers, but because he kept calling, I thought I’d answer. Now I’m well annoyed and wish I could’ve said something back after he hung up! Ugh.
