Got an email about some 'debt' but it didn’t say what it was for. The message said not to reply by email but to ring them instead. I haven’t called them. They didn’t have my home address, just my email. It looked pretty convincing with mentions of Step Change and stuff, which is quite concerning for anyone who might be struggling or vulnerable.

I dont pick up calls from unknown numbers, they just get sent straight to voicemail. Ive noticed this one plays a recorded message saying "Press 1 to talk to an advisor" then lists the number. No real business operates this way. I reckon those positive reviews with the blue ticks are probably from staff or mates. Best thing is to just block and move on.

My phone shows the caller as Palo Pani but when I looked it up on Google, it’s actually some company called Advantis!? They’ve sent me a couple of texts and just started calling too. I’m gonna block them and just ignore any future messages.

Just ring them back and if it’s a wrong number, they usually say sorry and take your number off their list straight away. Unfortunatly, some folks do put in fake addresses or numbers though.

Advantis keeps ringing my landline non-stop. I’ve been living at this address for over 40 years and there’s absolutely no debt or any unpaid bills here! And I’ve not altered my phone number one bit in all that time. I use my answer machine to screen all unknown callers and can easily tell if they’re someone I know. Advantis is actually a real debt collection firm, properly regulated by the FCA and overseen by the ombudsman. The only folks calling them scammers tend to be those with outstanding debts who just won’t accept responsibility. I had to deal with Advantis myself, and they even helped me by appealing my case, which ended up proving I wasn’t responsible for the debt after all. They were really pleasant on the phone, and I made sure to thank them for their assistance in sorting everything out.

Got a call from this number and an automated voice said it was Advantis me, asking me to press 1 to chat with an advisor. Of course, I ignored it. It's pretty clear whoever’s behind this is trying to trick people who are too trusting. What really shocks me is that even after so many complaints, this number's still active and no one's been held accountable.

Got a call from a tiny guy with an Asian accent, talking about jumping out of planes in Spain for some charity thing. Best just ignore it.

Got a letter from Advantis claiming I owed money for water bills, which was rubbish because I’m living in Temporary Accommodation and don’t pay for water! I tried emailing them but never got a reply. Today they called me, but I didn't pick up since the number was unfamiliar. Lucky I looked up the number online! Don’t trust them, they’re definitely scammers.

Sky has hired Advantis to chase debts, so if you’ve got an outstanding balance, don’t be surprised when they ring you up regularly until it’s sorted. These calls aren’t from any of the scammy companies others have mentioned, it’s genuinely someone on the other end. Just be honest, acknowledge what you owe and set up a payment plan - then they leave you alone!

Got a call from someone pretending to be British Gas, tried to hit us with some dodgy charges. They already knew my address and phone number, so I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Wouldn’t trust them at all.

I've had this number ring me up like 4 times already. Since I'm under 16, it was a bit confusing for me. They even texted saying they wanted to talk about some important stuff and who they were. I foolishly replied saying they must have dialled the wrong number 'cause I have nothing to do with them. I get loads of wrong number calls anyway. Honestly, I reckon you just ignore and don’t answer. Then block those annoying scammers straight away.

Watch out for the Advantis scammer who’s super risky. They ring you, track your number, and try to steal your credit card info. After that, they pass your details along to folks in Africa who clean out your bank. Honestly, it’s as awful as getting mugged on the street, a proper lowlife crook. Avoid this number at all costs!

Seems like this phone number used to belong to someone who racked up some debts, and now these debt collectors keep ringing me up. We just moved into this house and BT assigned us this number, but they won’t change it unless we cough up about £25, which is frustrating. The old owner has no link to this place whatsoever. After nearly two years of constant calls, I’ve had enough and sometimes end up snapping at them. Honestly, I can’t imagine what kind of folks work in this line of calling - seems dodgy and quite dodgy to me.

Beware, folks! Don’t trust Sky with your phone number. Even if you’re a Sky subscriber with an ex-directory listing, they still pass your details on to other companies. It’s a total scam, so be careful who you share your number with.

I’ve had loads of calls from them and even got a letter saying I owe £80 for an untaxed car from the DVLA. I’m pretty sure I pay all my bills though, so I’m just ignoring their calls now. Wouldn’t bother with them if I was you!

Had pretty much the same thing happen as the post from 9th Oct 2017. They wanted me to confirm the first part of my address. When I tried to find out what info they already had, they just wouldn’t tell me, saying "Data Protection" was the reason.
