I've been getting nonstop silent calls from some company named Akinika in Preston, supposed to be a debt collection firm. Took ages before a real person finally answered. They were trying to talk to someone who’s never lived at my number, which isn’t even listed anywhere. Honestly, this kind of harassment should be banned.

I've had quite the run-in with these callers who've dialled my mum's place three times now, requesting to speak to me - mind you, I reside a good 10 miles away from her! It’s baffling how they got hold of her number. When she inquired about who they were, they went on about being from "Alpha Dental Clinic." Naturally, I decided to ring them back, but the operator was quite secretive and refused to provide any information until I answered some security questions. Turns out, they’re not what they claimed to be; they're actually a DEBT COLLECTION agency working on behalf of the NHS, camouflaging their true identity behind that "Alpha Dental Clinic" facade. Quite underhanded, if you ask me!

I've had quite the nuisance with these callers phoning my mother’s home-not once, not twice, but thrice! I live about 10 miles from her, so it's a mystery how they got hold of her number. When she inquired about who they were, they claimed to represent something called "Alpha Dental Clinic." Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to ring them back. However, the person on the line was rather evasive and wouldn’t divulge any details until I responded to their so-called security questions. Turns out, these folks are actually a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY acting on behalf of the NHS. They seem to be cleverly disguising their true intent behind the name "Alpha Dental Clinic." Quite sneaky, if you ask me!

Mark from Ebay told me they dont use this agency for any of their debt collections. Apparently, Ebay relies on Paypal to handle all their debt recovery stuff.

Every weekday, starting at around 8 in the morning, these lot start blowing up my phone. They don’t bother leaving a voicemail, just ring then hang up. I keep getting emails and texts from them, all saying I need to get in touch with them straight away. This goes on all through the working week, Monday to Friday.

I get calls from them every single day without fail. Most of the time, they don’t even bother leaving a voicemail. These calls are really annoying and feel quite threatening, and I reckon they break the law. There should be heavy fines handed out through the courts, making them pay compensation to everyone affected. Also, did you know Ebay and Paypal aren’t actually registered here in England? They’re set up in tax haven places, which means they hardly pay anything into our economy. They really need to be responsible for the dodgy actions of their outsourced teams.

Reading through these comments, it sounds like it's linked to a debt collector, which is worrying. I got a call from this company called Akinika, who claim to be debt collectors but their methods seem really sketchy, might even be borderline illegal. They say they're calling on behalf of PayPal or eBay and tell you someone tried to create an eBay account using your information. Then they say if that's right, you should get in touch with the police’s fraud department. They go on asking for stuff like how long you’ve lived at your address, your house number, and even your eBay user ID. It felt so dodgy, I couldn’t believe it! I’m planning to reach out to both eBay and PayPal to let them know about this scam.
