Got a text saying to ring back about issues with my TV licence. The phone's new so no legit company has this number saved or anything. Totally a scam, very worrying really. I'm sure loads of people would be alarmed to get something like that. They also rang me on my landline from the same number.

Zero clue who that was, the number’s not saved on my phone. If it was the TV licence folks, their number would be in there for sure, so must be some other dodgy scam. To the TV licence people, if you’re gonna ring, please use your usual number. I don’t keep this one saved. Got plenty of other numbers stored. Honestly, I’d rather get an email than a call any day.

this number sent me a text asking me to ring them back, so i did. they claimed to be from the tv licence and said i owed money on it. but i actually have a valid tv licence that lasts until february next year. never heard of them before so i havent paid anything and feel like it might be a scam.
