Got a call supposedly about some unsecured debt, but the person had really bad English, sounded like they were from the Indian subcontinent. Definitely a scam, beware!

I got a call from some firm claiming they were ringing about unsecured debts and some government program. When I said I wasn’t interested, the bloke got really rude and said if I wasn’t gonna cooperate, he’d give my info to my creditors to sort it out with me. I don’t actually have any debts that aren’t under control, and I always pay on time, so I wasn’t bothered. But since I’m seven months pregnant, it was quite upsetting to be treated like that. I’m also worried for anyone else who might be more vulnerable and actually believe what these people say.

i got a call from someone looking for a mrs johnston. my partner’s surname is johnston but we’re not married or anything. so it just felt dodgy, like some kind of scam to me. not sure who they actually were though.

Seems a bit sketchy to me. They ring you and then just cut off right away. Feels like they might be trying to get you to pick up so they can charge you or something.

Got a call from this number, they claimed to be from some kind of debt help firm. I’m pretty fortunate I don’t owe much cause I don’t tend to spend more than I can afford. When I told them I wasn’t in debt and asked to be removed from their contact list, they just cut me off. Something about it felt off, like it might be a sketchy outfit or scam.
