Whenever I get a phone call from some random number I don’t know, I usually pick up but keep quiet. Almost every time, after a brief pause, you hear them hang up straight away. If there’s loads of noise or people talking in the background, I just end the call right there. Real callers typically leave a voicemail anyway.
