Phone kept ringing a handful of times today but never stayed on the line long and nothing left on my voicemail. Sounds kinda legit but it’s not Vodafone - most of their numbers begin with 01709 anyway. Best bet is to have a look at the number list on their official site, and if yer still iffy and don’t wanna get calls from Vodafone at all, just send a text saying STOP to 9774. That way, any future calls from that number are most likely scams.

SCAM - They said they were from Vodaphone, but when I asked what part of Vodaphone they worked for, they couldn’t give me a straight answer. Got a call from someone pretending to be Vodafone, saying I was behind on my bill and offered to lower it. They asked for my full name and birth date (which they’d already have if real). I told them I’d rather visit a store to sort it out. Then I rang Vodafone myself, they just asked for my number and security phrase. They said the number isn’t theirs and flagged it as a scam/harassment call. They told me to block it. Hope this info helps anyone else.

This number has rung me several times, saying they want to talk about my current bills and check if they can improve my tariffs. From what I've read here, some people claim Vodafone said it's their number, while others say it's not.
