This is a Vodafone number from Rotherham. They seem legit, I got a call and said yes to the iPad which is currently on offer for £17.85 and it arrived just yesterday.

BEWARE!!! That text saying you can get an iPad for £17.85 is a total scam, probably from some bloke working with fraudsters. Can't trust it at all. Loads of people here saying they’re being hassled and getting rubbish deals, but only one person claims it was legit and a bargain. Nonsense! You'd barely get a cheap phone for that. What kind of iPad do they reckon it was? iPad 2 or summink? Complete idiot, and seriously, your mum and dad gotta have a word.

I phoned them back and they said they were from Vodafone, said their name was Oake but it just didnt sound right at all. Not sure if Oake is even a real name? Feels pretty dodgy to me.

Got a missed call and my caller ID showed it was Vodafone. They rang back a couple of hours later. When I answered, the line was totally quiet (which is odd, as Vodafone calls usually have other reps chatting in the background). The person asked to speak to me, but pronounced my name wrong and said they wanted to check my account. I told them my bills are all paid and I'm not interested in any deals. Then they asked who my broadband provider was. I said if they were actually Vodafone, they’d already know and ended the call. I've blocked the number now. BEWARE, THIS IS A SCAM!!!

They keep ringing me non-stop and when I pick up they already know my name. Definitely don’t trust them, feels like a scam to me.

They called me earlier today pretending to be from Vodafone, even knew my name and the phone I have, and started offering me deals on smartphones, iPads, and tablets. I told them I'd think it over and asked them to ring me back tomorrow. Once the call finished, I contacted Vodafone’s 24/7 chat through their app and they told me that the number 01709 917451 isn’t connected to any Vodafone marketing. They advised me not to answer calls from it. I blocked the number straightaway and would suggest others do the same. Definitely a SCAM.

Earlier today, around a quarter to two, I noticed I had a missed call. I decided to return the call, and a bloke responded, though it was quite noisy on his end. Without any sort of company introduction, I chose to hang up. Since then, I haven’t received any further calls.
