Got a call from a nearby number but missed it. I tried calling back but it just went unanswered, then the voicemail was completely full. Figured it could be a local company, so I checked online. Decided to block the number after that.

Just like others have said, I got a call from Shirley saying my internet would stop in 24 hours if I didn’t press 1. Problem is, I’m not even with BT, so it was obviously a scam.

Got a call like this too, some automated voice saying they were "Shirley" and telling me my internet was at risk and would be shut down in a day unless I pressed 1. As soon as the message finished, the line just went dead. I reckon if you actually press 1, it’s either a sneaky way to charge you loads or they try to get access to your computer by using the info you give them. Avoid it, seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from some recorded lady called "Shirley" saying my internet was hacked and would get cut off in a day if I didn’t press 1. The call ended right after she said that. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
