Just got a call from some bloke claiming to be from a rapid response team around Swanmore. He said they were ringing people they hadn’t contacted yesterday. When he tried to book a safety check for a couple of folks, I saw the number on my phone (01704 524274) wasn’t local at all and called him out, saying it smelt like a sales pitch. He just hung up on me! Heads up, this isn’t a genuine local service, it’s just some salesman. Stay careful!

Got a call from a woman who just hung up after saying goodbye. Maybe I didn’t come across as very warm.

I never quite got his name, but the call came through the call guardian setup. When I picked up, he used my actual name right away, then suddenly the line dropped.

This number has been ringing me non stop for a few months now, maybe 3 or 4, and I get like 4 to 5 calls every week. When I picked up a couple times, nobody said anything. I’ve stopped answering now. Tried to block it but they just keep calling from new numbers. Really annoying!

Some bloke called me saying his name was Terry Hughes, and that he was running some safety campaign for folks aged 50 to 90 in Eastleigh. He said they’d send a couple of chaps, all suited up in full PPE, to pop round and explain what it’s all about. The moment I told him I wasn’t bothered, he just hung up on me straight away - doesn’t seem like a genuine caller to me. To top it off, the number came from the Southport area, which is miles away from Eastleigh! Quite suspicious if you ask me.
