Some woman called saying she was from an insurance firm wanting me to renew my policy. Sounded way too noisy like she wasn’t actually in an office.

Got a missed call that came up on the app as 'aggressive life insurance' - guess it served its purpose! 😊

Checked this blocked number here first, definitely a scam, so don’t bother answering.

It was some life insurance call, they already had my name. As soon as I told them to take me off their list, they just ended the call.

They called me by my old surname which I haven’t gone by in over 16 years, even though they knew my first name. They claimed it was about a life insurance policy, but I just hung up on them.

Got a call about some dodgy life insurance offer.

I received a call from someone who appeared to know my name and began inquiring about a life insurance policy. When I pressed her for specifics on which one she meant, she claimed they lacked those details but then oddly asked me to specify. The lady’s tone was curt right from the off, and it only deteriorated further when I mentioned I’d prefer to contact the insurance provider myself. She identified herself as being from the "Life Insurance Review Centre." Quite off-putting, really!

I nearly picked up the call because I'm waiting on an important call from the hospital. Luckily, this website helped me figure out it wasn’t the hospital or a nurse ringing from somewhere else. If I was in Skelmersdale, I probably would have answered without thinking.

A team claiming to be from life insurance called me, mentioning my name - bit fishy, don’t you think? Seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from this number but no one spoke when I answered. It's meant to be from Skelmersdale apparently.

No idea who this is, no message left either.

Blocked them straight away... honestly, best not to pick up. I always look up the number here first when I’m not sure, which is quite often. Saves so much hassle instead of having to deal with those dodgy calls that just make me so angry - how do they have the nerve? Proper lowlifes. Really love this website, it’s brilliant.

I received an unexpected call from this number around 17:45 on the 26th of January. It was totally unsolicited. When I inquired about which company the caller represented, they completely dodged the question and then hung up on me. I decided to ring back, and when I asked for them to remove my number from their records, the lady admonished me for raising my voice and then abruptly ended the conversation. I was speaking loudly initially since I was on hands-free and struggled to hear her. My frustration escalated as she continued to read from her script despite my request, and she seemed to take issue with my refusal to partake in whatever they were pushing. Naturally, I called again and was met with a rather condescending lecture from a supervisor regarding my attitude. He suggested that I should show some patience and listen to the details of what they had to say. At that moment, I was absolutely livid-trying to engage with them was akin to conversing with a particularly stubborn wall. I firmly insisted on having my details removed from their database, to which he replied I didn’t have the right to demand no calls and launched into yet another tirade about my obligation to maintain decorum when dealing with those who had reached out to me unsolicited. It's worth highlighting that, in this instance, I have zero intention of being civil when they refuse to facilitate my request to be taken off their list. I make no apologies whatsoever for raising my voice; it's outrageous that they believe they can pester me and expect me to listen to their nonsense without my consent.

They keep calling me, I pick up and they just hang up. Had to block the number now.

Received two calls from this number earlier today, each time with a different set of digits at the end. My phone flagged it as a potential scam, so I went ahead and blocked the caller, twice over!

They wouldn’t say who they were, just kept asking for me (I wasn’t home) said it was about life insurance but when I asked ‘so what?’ they just hung up.

Got a call sayin I was up for a life insurance review. The person was annoyingly pushy and kept askin for my personal info which I refused to share. When I brought up the Data Protection rules, they wouldn’t connect me to a manager at all.

I received a call from a woman using this number, claiming that I had a life insurance policy. When I inquired about the provider, suddenly the call cut off. Quite perplexing!

They wouldn’t say what they needed unless I answered their questions first. Proper rude. Since neither of us wanted to share anything, I just ended the call.

I received a call from them, and they wouldn't divulge any details until I provided my name. I wasn’t keen on sharing, which led us to a bit of a stalemate. To top it off, the caller's attitude was rather unpleasant, so I decided to hang up on the conversation.

I received a call from this number, so I decided to return the call. An Indian lady was on the other end, attempting to push life insurance onto me. I firmly informed her that I wasn’t the individual she was after and accused her of being a scammer. I also mentioned that reaching out to someone who is registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is unlawful. I let her know I was within my rights to contact the authorities regarding this matter. In response, she claimed that I must have given her my number, which simply isn’t true. I live in London, and her number was from Skelmersdale - a place I’ve never even heard of. Honestly, how could I have shared my number with her when I’ve got no connections there, nor do I know any Indian women?

Got a call from an unknown number, didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail left either.

"they said they ‘review and compare life insurance’ - sounds more annoying than harmful, but honestly, a cold call like that probably isn’t going to give a good deal and could be a phishing attempt."

Received a call from someone inquiring about a name I didn’t recognise at all. I informed them it was a wrong number, yet they persisted by requesting my name, claiming they were on a quest to find the true owner of the number! They insisted I reveal my name, which seemed rather cheeky to me, so I promptly ended the conversation!

The phone kept ringing like five times then just stopped. I didn’t pick up but it kept ringing on and off all day.

This number keeps ringin me and I’m sick of it. They never bother to leave any message. Don’t know who they are, so I’ve probably blocked them now.

Total rip-off. Had to block them.

Got a call from this number on my phone. It went straight to voicemail and I could hear some noise in the background which made me think it was from a call centre. But they didn't leave any message saying who they were or why they called.

Really rude bloke who kept pushing me to hand over all my personal info.

Got loads of calls lately from unknown numbers like this one. Feels like the same scammers cos every time I block one, more pop up with different numbers. Did the usual check here on this site. Gonna keep blocking these annoyin ppl & report any dodgy scam emails I get.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Legal & General about insurance.

Got a call on my mobile from some company called ‘clear compare’ about life insurance, or so they said. They asked for my name. I checked out the company name because I was thinking about reporting the cold call since I’m on the TPS and all. Guess it doesn’t really stop them. Might be a legit call though, sounded like it came from some call centre.
