Received a call at 5:10 PM on the 8th of March 2022. When I picked up, they immediately switched the line.

They rang me but didn’t bother to leave a voicemail.

They greeted me by name and, when I inquired about their identity, claimed they were calling regarding some insurance matter. They presumed I was the individual they were searching for. However, when I pointed out that I had never confirmed my identity, the caller became rather aggressive, clearly irritated that I managed to get information from them without revealing who I was. Following that, they abruptly cut the call!

A lady rang me up out of the blue, saying she needed to update my life insurance details. Thing is, I don’t even have any life insurance with them or anywhere else!

When I pointed out I wasn’t the one they asked for, they suddenly got really rude and started shouting because I got their identity without telling mine, then they just ended the call on me!

Got a call from this number on my mobile, so I rang it back using my landline which hides my caller ID. The recorded message said something like "the number you have dialled is not in service, please check and try again" with a bit of an American twang. I tried calling again, double-checked the number on my phone screen, it was right but the same female voice greeted me. Feels dodgy, maybe a scammer. I usually ignore calls from unknown area codes unless I know who they are or call them back with my number blocked to confirm.
