Got a call from some bloke with a Liverpool accent who knew my name, saying he wanted to go over my life insurance. I told him “I’m not interested, cheers,” and he asked “what part aren’t you interested in?” Seemed really suspicious, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from some Asian call centre bloke claiming to talk about an accident I supposedly had in the coming 12 weeks. I asked him what sort of fortune teller he was and if he was calling me accident-prone or what, how on earth did he know? He finally caught on and hung up. Proper laugh that!

These scammers really deserve to be reported to the cops. Blocking their numbers feels pointless since they just ring from loads of different ones. Some phone companies only let you block so many numbers before it stops working too. I think all these calls should be reported to Action Fraud. Might be a bit much flooding the police system with reports, but it’s probably the only way to eventually put an end to these pests.

Got a call from an Asian guy who knew my name. When I asked, he said he was from Insurance Review and started mentioning Aviva and L&G, telling me I didn’t have any life insurance. There was loads of background noise like a busy call centre, so I just ended the call.

Plus, he only said where he was calling from after I grilled him a bit. Totally feels like a scam since he was pushing me to switch life insurance. Best just block the number if they ring you.
