It was a total scam, don't trust that number.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from TalkTalk, told me my internet had some sort of problem and needed money to sort it out. Absolutely fishy if you ask me.

At around 10.50 on 13/07/21, I got a call from the 0169 code but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number. Just left it ringing till it stopped. When I looked it up, realised loads of others got the same call and it turns out it’s a scam. Better to be safe and just ignore these calls.

I gave it a couple rings before picking up, but as soon as I did, the call just went dead. I've blocked the number now.

got a call from someone claiming to be with virgin, said it was about my internet speed. asked me to run some tests on my laptop but i said i couldnt right now, and asked if he could ring me back. he promised a call at 2pm. later on, when i dialled 1471, the number showed as 0169.

I got a call from an 020 number, then couple hours later noticed £600 taken out of my debit card while I was overseas. Gonna look into this right away.

My phone only buzzed for a second and no voicemail was left. I’m guessing it’s probably a scam. Just a heads up to be cautious.

Got a call from 01698457940 but I didn’t pick up. Looks like 0169 isn’t a valid area code anyway, so I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of dodgy scam.

Got a call from a 0169 number, couldn’t make out what they were saying, but they sounded like they had an Indian accent.

I looked into my credit cards and this is for sure a scam.
