Had about seven calls from this number this morning, all spam from India trying to scam me. They’re really pushy and rude, so I just started snapping back and then blocked the number. Honestly thinking about ditching my landline because of this hassle. Someone really should sort this out!

on 22nd september i picked up and there was this weird pause then loads of noise in the background. a guy with a heavy accent claimed he was from bt and said there was an issue with my internet. i got caught out once before so now i only deal with them through email.

Today I got a call from 001726037153, a number I didn’t recognise. I didn’t pick up and let my answer machine deal with it. It was some automated voice saying £39.99 would be taken from my bank for Amazon Prime. Thing is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime!

Had a call from 001723028621489903 but didn’t pick up. This is just one out of five calls I've had in the last day, all from different numbers. I actually managed to answer four of them, and they were all quite aggressive, saying they’d cut off my internet service if I didn’t comply. The moment they made their ridiculous threat, I just hung up.

Got a call from 001726816753, sounded like some emergency visa thing saying £600 was taken from an account I supposedly have. They wanted me to press a number on the phone to confirm it, but honestly the only button I hit was hang up! Total scam if you ask me.

I’ve had a couple of rings from the number 001724592516. With my caller ID intact, it was rather obvious that it was likely some sort of dodgy operation. I simply refuse to pick up any calls that begin with 00. I let the phone ring away until it switches over to my voicemail. My recorded message kindly asks callers to state their name and number, assuring them I’ll get back to them when I can. Interestingly, none of the callers have bothered to leave a message, which definitely points to it being a scam of some sort.

Received a call from 001726623318. It was an automated voice on the other end, claiming that my BT broadband service was about to be cut off. They prompted me to press 1 if I wanted to keep the service or press 2 to agree to the disconnection. Sounds very sketchy to me, especially since I don’t even have BT in the first place!

Had a call from 0017274128, all I could hear was some faint background noise that sounded a bit like music. Then it just went dead silence, no-one on the other end. Pretty odd, seemed like one of those silent calls.
