I recently had a rather dodgy experience with someone posing as an O2 representative. They managed to breach my O2 account and dispatched an iPhone that I never requested. Shortly after, a courier arrived, claiming they were picking it up to return it to O2 due to some supposed mistake. Now, the iPhone has vanished, and O2 has since flagged it. Utterly fraudulent behaviour!

Fraud Alert - Within a matter of moments, I received three back-to-back calls. Upon picking up, I was greeted by a woman with an Indian accent claiming to represent O2 and offering some sort of discount on my bill. When I suggested that I’d prefer to ring O2 directly to verify her claims, she mentioned that it was a special offer “via a third party” before abruptly cutting the line when I insisted on confirming with O2. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got a robo call about a £900 charge on my credit card and hung up straight away. It’s mad how many people freak out and end up getting caught up in it. Honestly, I wish the UK would do more to block these scam calls. My advice? Just end the call immediately and don’t get drawn in. If you’re unsure, hang up and ring your bank yourself to check - most of the time it’s a total scam!

I've had a couple of calls from this number, and each time, there was silence on the other end. Quite peculiar, really.

Yesterday evening there were a couple posts right below this one, like 5 or so, explaining exactly how to avoid most of these scams that annoy us all the time. But honestly, it’s gonna take loads and loads of reports to the cops and complaints to your MP before we see any real action. One person alone won’t change much. Every day, this site gets thousands of scam reports, so it’s a real problem.

Got hit by these scammers again, had to block the number like I always do. Just seen a post saying blocking ain’t really effective, and it does add up. Gonna follow the advice and report it, and I’ll be raising this with my MP too - this lot from the US system gotta be stopped somehow. I’m bombarded with these scam calls nearly every day, all blocked but they keep coming. Always seem to be using UK numbers but I’m pretty sure they’re based abroad and making good money fooling folks here. Overall, this site’s pretty good - a bit of rubbish here and there but mostly handy info.

Picked up the phone and some bloke with a foreign accent was on the other end, but I couldn’t make out what he was saying. I’ve blocked the number since then. After that, calls came through from 01684 520025, then 01684 520016 and 520017. I’ve blocked all those too now.

Some dodgy call centre or scammers, definitely need to be shut down! Got a call claiming they were from O2 trying to pitch a better deal. I told them straight up that I’m not even an O2 customer. Then they asked who my provider was. I replied asking if they were really O2 or some third-party seller, then suddenly the call just cut off.

Got a call from some Indian call centre bloke claiming to be from O2 offering me a 30% discount on my phone plan. He said he'd send a "verification code" by text but I just hung up. Then he rang me at least five more times, so I blocked the number and another one with a similar ending, something like ending in 21 as well.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, so I ended the call and rang them back. When I called back, the people said they were from some ‘discount team’. There were two guys, both with Indian accents. One gave his name as ‘Oliver’ and the other went by ‘Jordan’. They were trying to sell me a 30% discount on my bill forever. Not a word about O2 from them. Total scam, avoid!

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke pretending to be from O2 offering all sorts of deals. Thing is, I dont even use O2! Then he texted me a code and wanted me to give it to him. I told him to jog on and hung up. He kept ringing after that, so I decided to block the number.
