I received a call that rang for ages before they finally answered. The person on the line had such a thick Indian accent that it was almost impossible to comprehend what they were saying. They claimed to represent EE and attempted to sell me some unlimited plan for a tenner a month, which sounded highly dubious to me. Then, bizarrely, they asked how much I currently pay. I told them that if they're indeed from EE, they ought to be aware of that already. Strangely enough, they mentioned knowing I was on a SIM-only contract, which struck me as odd. However, they abruptly ended the conversation right after that inquiry.

Oh dear, a right dodgy situation with O2! They might ring you up and ask you to peek at a text they’ve supposedly dispatched from their official numbers. You’re supposed to give them the code they send, and before you know it, they’ll waltz right into your O2 account and nab your information. Best thing to do? Just hang up immediately!

Haha, just got a call from another number super similar, ends with 14 (01684520014). They keep pretending to be from various companies like EE or some insurance agent, but the moment it rings once, they hang up straight away. So this morning I got a ring from an Indian bloke trying to sell me a mobile contract, claiming it was loads better than the one I’ve got - which I knew was rubbish. At first he was pretty polite, but as soon as I said no thanks, he got really annoyed. A few months ago I had a similar call from what was actually a scammer, so I wasn’t bothered at all about cutting this one off with no respect whatsoever.
