Got a call from some dodgy "Carphone Warehouse" deal offering an S20 for £15 a month. Sounded legit at first, but then they said all the chats were done over WhatsApp - that set me off. Did a quick search here and found it was a load of rubbish. Ended up cancelling my card just to be on the safe side.

Got a call from someone called 'Kevin' with an Asian accent, said he was from EE wanting to upgrade my phone contract at no extra cost. Sounded like a decent deal for a new phone. The weird thing was, he didn't know any of my personal info. Then he asked me to complete a banking form. I decided to say no right there.

Beware of the so-called telephone preference service scam - they claim they’ll stop those annoying calls if you hand over your bank details. It’s such a hassle, they keep ringing the same number over and over, then switch to a different one the following day. Proper pain in the neck!

It all just stressed him out loads, it was really upsetting. My tip is to just let your phone ring out and go to voicemail, then call back if you actually want to talk.

Got a couple of calls from 01677 222021 yesterday. The first time, I couldn’t catch what they were on about so I just ended the call. About an hour later, they phoned again and a lady was on the line talking about blocking nuisance calls and asked if we’d had more of them recently. Seemed like a sales pitch so I told them I wasn’t interested and put the phone down. Later in the afternoon, the same number rang twice, about half an hour between each call, but I didn’t pick up.

I got called three times today by these con artists who always come up with new tricks to trick folks out of cash. I’m pretty sure they mostly go after older people. There’s gotta be some way to shut these horrible scammers down before they even get started.

I got two calls spaced about 20 minutes apart from people speaking with strong Asian accents, but they used names like Sean and Sandy, which seemed odd. They said they were from some "Telephone Preference Management" thing and even knew my name. The first time, I just ended the call straight away. I’ve received a rather dubious call purporting to be from a call-blocking service, asking me to confirm the expiry date of my debit card. They claim this is necessary to enhance my current spam call protection, ensuring I’m shielded from future disturbance. The funny thing is, I’ve never signed up for any such nuisance call service in the first place! What a cheek!

They keep ringing my mum’s house, and she’s a widow, which makes it even worse. The bloke on the phone has an Indian accent and calls almost every week, sometimes even twice a week! I once picked up and told him she’s registered with the TPS and to stop calling, but he just didn’t listen. She’s also getting calls on another number, 01490 555021, and weirdly, the last three digits are the same as the other number! Feels like some dodgy scam or phishing attempt trying to gather her info to sell or misuse.

My mum is old but sharp, and right away hung up when they asked for her credit card details. Still, it’s really upsetting her getting bombarded like this. This is the third time they’ve called me today, and they’ve been at it for weeks now. Somebody called me claiming to be from the tps and said they’d put a stop to all spam and marketing calls. I didn’t buy it for a second, knew it was dodgy. I played along and kept chatting, and then when he tried to get me to give my visa expiry date, I asked him why he’d need that as the tps is meant to be free. He got all twitchy and just hung up. It’s a shame if anyone falls for this thinking it’s the real telephone preference service.
