I received a call from someone who claimed to be from the Debt Management Department. He had my full name and wanted to talk about some outstanding debts. As soon as he mentioned that, I ended the call right away because I don’t owe anything.

About half an hour ago, I got a call from a woman who said she was from a company handling creditors for my unsecured loans. When I asked her to specify which loans or creditors she was talking about, she couldn’t provide any details and just kept repeating vague info about my loans and creditors. She never said she was from any government body either. When I asked her how she even knew I had creditors without giving me any specifics, she just ended the call.

I got a call from someone with an accent saying he wanted to help clear my debts. When I asked which debts he meant, he claimed some agency told them I owed money. I told him that’s not true and it’s basically defamation since I don’t owe anything, and that I’d report it. Then he just hung up.
