Received a call from this number earlier today, yet they didn’t bother to leave a message. Clearly, it wasn’t anything crucial. Since I don't recognise it, I can only deduce that it was probably some pesky telemarketer or yet another dodgy scam attempt. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

I received a call earlier today from someone claiming I was involved in an accident that I had nothing to do with! It was all utter nonsense. I've gone ahead and blocked their number and also made a report to the Telephone Preference Service.
