The initial chap had a lovely Irish lilt to his voice, but suddenly it shifted gears to two blokes quietly chatting amongst themselves. Then, out of nowhere, one of them, sporting an Indian accent, jumped in, seemingly representing some dodgy company!

I've received quite a few calls from this number throughout the day. Each time I pick up, there's no one on the line, and then I hear this robotic voice saying goodbye. It's rather irritating, to say the least!

Unsolicited and unfamiliar caller. Likely a bunch of scammers! I've decided to block them.

I received a call from a woman who had a distinct American accent, and she inquired about my husband. Not feeling comfortable, I decided to hang up on her. Shortly after, I got a second call from an international number, which made me think it might be linked to the earlier conversation. I chose not to pick up that time.

It was clearly an American accent. I chose to remain silent and let her chat away to my radio instead.

I received a phone call filled with raucous chatter from what sounded like a busy call centre. An Asian lady being overly pushy about connecting me with some financial adviser to help put my home into a trust. Honestly, I’d already sorted that out with our own advisers ages ago! Just another annoying cold call about their money management programmes—definitely a nuisance!

It's quite baffling, isn't it? Amidst this global health crisis, we find ourselves bombarded with unsolicited calls aimed at swindling us out of our hard-earned cash. Truly, I’m left without words!

I responded to a call in French. A lady with a distinctly American accent inquired whether it was I or my wife speaking, to which I had to inform her that I don’t have a spouse. I carried on in French, and she abruptly said, “Alright, goodbye.” I reckon I might just adopt this approach going forward!

If I don't recognise the number and there's no subsequent text from them, I simply won't bother to reply and will just block them instead.

Just received another call, and it hung up again.
