Got a call from a woman claiming she was with the Pension Review team at Compare Your Pension (which is totally made up). She kept using my first name even after I said I wasn’t happy about it. Got a call from 01619747724, said it was from Manchester and someone named David from the Pensions Review Service. Thought it might be my phone acting up, so I phoned back but got put on hold with this annoying piano tune and a voice with an American accent saying “please hold, your call is important”. I’m pretty suspicious of unfamiliar numbers, and unless they call me by name straight away, I usually ask, “Where did you get this number from? It’s supposed to be unlisted.” Most times, they just hang up. Once, a bloke with an Indian or Pakistani accent said my number was on some list. I told him, “It shouldn’t be, please take it off, this number’s blocked.” How the heck are they even getting around the TPS? Next time I might just give out some made-up info and say I’m HRH Kate Middleton, just for laughs!

Dodgy lot! Got a call on my mobile from someone saying they were from the Pension Review Service. She asked if i still lived at an old place. When i asked who exactly they were, she just kept repeating the same spiel. It took a few seconds to pick up, then they started with some pensions advice. I told them to remove me from their call list. This is the umpteenth number that’s been ringing me, probably because of my CV like someone else said, or maybe because I’ve switched my phone contract recently. Numbers like 0121 285 1466, 020 3137 6110, 01775 523 461, 07553 975 966, 01268 578 577, 01432 630073, and 01482 240 452 have all called me last week. I barely answered any of them - 99% went straight to voicemail. My advice: don’t pick up these numbers!

Got a bloke on the phone saying he was from the Pension Advisory Service, wanted to come 'round my place to get me to sign some sort of letter so they could look into my pension. I said I'd think about it and ended the call. Later, I phoned up the genuine Pension Advisory Service and they told me they don’t do house visits and only speak to folks who reach out to them first. Funny thing is, this is the fifth dodgy call I've received since I sent my CV with my mobile number on to IRS recruitment.

When I asked for more specifics about me, like policy numbers or which pension company I use, he couldn’t give any. He said he found my phone number by searching online for pension info. My gut feeling is, if they don’t already have your details and are trying to get you to share them instead, it’s probably just a scam.

Some bloke called me saying his name was Luke, but when I asked where he was calling from and what he needed without even checking my name, suddenly he goes, "See you later Carole," then just hangs up. The number showed up as 01619747724. I don't know if it's some kinda scam or what, but it felt a bit off to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the "Pension Review Team". I asked them which firm they were with, and they said "Pension Advice Bureau". Then they wanted to know if I was still getting my pension statements. When I asked which pension company they meant, they just cut the call. Definitely a suspicious telemarketer.

01619 747724 I got a call from this number claiming it was about a pension review. When I asked what pension exactly and why they were contacting me, the person just replied with "Have a great day" and then ended the call. They actually knew my name which means some firm somewhere has passed my details to these scammers. Honestly, I’m convinced this is dodgy - best just ignore and block the number right away.

Got a call out of nowhere saying they were from some pension review team. I asked them to explain who they were and what the call was regarding, but they just ended the call. Definitely seemed suspicious, like a cold call trying to get my personal details.

Absolutely ridiculous! I received a call about pensions, but then they just disconnected without so much as a goodbye. It’s baffling how they even got hold of our number. Total nonsense, I must say! How frustrating!
