Someone rang my phone yesterday but hung up before saying anything. Then today I got another call from 0113 457 9783, looks like it's also from Kinsella Tax Advice. I’m defo blocking both these numbers now.

The lady on the line sounded proper rude and I could even hear her munching away, which was a bit creepy since she knew my name. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a Pension Review team. Asked them to provide their FCA registration, which they couldn’t. Total scam. Shows how useless the regulation really is.

How on earth did they get hold of my number? It’s sick how they enjoy messing with people with their scams! Bet they won’t be laughing when it happens to them! I’ve blocked the number now. Good riddance!

Got a call from some Pension Review Team, claiming to give me a 'free' look over my pension plan. They then asked if my plan was personal or through work, and when I pointed out they should already know if they're pretending to be my pension provider, they just ended the call.

After being bombarded by incessant calls, I finally picked up the phone, completely exasperated. There was a woman on the other end who attempted to verify my identity but completely butchered my name in the process. I mentioned that she might reconsider calling, considering the fact that I was currently residing in Australia, which would surely rack up quite the bill for her. She replied that she would ring back, to which I firmly suggested she refrain from doing so for at least a fortnight. In a rather cheeky tone, she shot back, claiming she probably had no intention of calling again anyway, and promptly hung up!

I don’t usually share my mobile number around - only places like my Gmail, eBay, Paypal, bank (for security stuff), and the local council have it. So, I asked her where she’d got my number from, but she didn’t say anything back.

I received a call from a chap named Luke, who wanted to fill me in on a Future Plan event happening nearby next week. He asked if I was keen to hear more. I politely declined, saying, "Thanks, but I’m really not interested because..." Before I could finish, he cut in with, "You haven't even heard what it entails," and hung up rather abruptly! Now, he did have a point-I had no idea what it was about-but I was on the brink of explaining that I’ve got relatives visiting from overseas all week when he interrupted me. I understand that being in tele-sales must be quite challenging, no doubt filled with its own frustrations. Still, if Luke had just given me a moment to express myself, I reckon we both could have walked away from that exchange feeling a bit better than we do now!

Got a missed call from this number earlier. Rang back and got one of those automated messages saying “your call is important to us, please hold.” The hold music was the Minute Waltz. Hung on for about half a minute before giving up. Pretty sure it was just another cold call from some random firm trying to blag a few quid.

Got a call today from someone I didn’t really catch the name of. They said it was time for my pension review - odd, cos I’ve never had one before. When I asked which firm they were calling from, the lady just ended the call. I rang 1471 to check the number, which showed as 0161 9747721. Tried calling back out of curiosity to find out who they were, but only got an answering machine. No company name, just a message saying someone would get back to me soon. I waited on the phone for about 10 minutes, but no one picked up.
