Got a call from an automated voice warning me about a lawsuit if I don’t respond. Really felt like a scam to me.

over the past two days this number has called my mum 4 times. she’s 90 years old and luckily didn’t pick up. they ended up leaving a voicemail pretending to be from hmrc threatening legal action against her!

I got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying they've been trying to reach me about some claim against me. Thing is, I haven't had a job for almost six years, so I don’t really understand why I'd owe anything. Not sure if it’s legit or just a scam.
