An older mate of mine got a voicemail from this number not long ago. The voice was a woman’s, sounded quite neutral with no obvious accent, warning that a lawsuit was about to be filed against him. She didn’t say his name or anything, so it wasn’t clear who the message was even meant for or if they knew who lived there. There wasn’t any contact info or a department to ring back, just left hanging. He tried 1471 to see who’d called and felt pretty shaken. Luckily, he didn’t ring them back. If this is some sort of scam, it really ought to be shut down.

Got a call saying HMRC are running a criminal investigation and to call this number to chat with the officer in charge. Total scam, obviously.
