Right, another one from some Lisa Williams, but this time it’s an automated message. Supposedly I’m in big trouble unless I ring back. Ha, what a joke. They kept telling me to have a lovely day as if that made it any less annoying. Honestly, these people are just a complete waste. Don’t bother calling that number back, trust me.

I got a call and guessed it was HMRC, so I rang them back. Turns out they didn’t even say my name right, so I just ended the call. Did I put myself at any risk by calling back though?

It’s really awful how they try to scare older folks with this fake HMRC stuff. Loads of them get proper worried by anything sounding legal. And then this Lisa Williams from “HMRC” finishes off by telling you to have a blessed day - like that makes it any less dodgy!

Just like everyone else, I got a message from some callbot saying HMRC are threatening me with legal trouble. They said the caller’s name was Lisa Williams or something. I’ve blocked the number straight away.

I’m fed up with getting these annoying calls and scary voicemails all the time. It’s every single day, coming from all sorts of places across the country. Last week I had a call from someone called Eric Foster over in London, then this week a lady from a Manchester number rang me. I keep blocking them but they just ring back using different numbers. Seriously, why aren’t the police doing anything about these crooks?!

I just experienced the same weird call. Tried ringing back this 'Lisa Williams' but no one picks up. Seems like a rubbish scam to me, though I guess someone a bit gullible might fall for it. Not sure what they’re really trying to do.

Got a robo call claiming to be from HMRC, telling me I was in big legal trouble if I didn’t ring back. They sounded proper threatening about serious legal action. Just a heads up, HMRC don’t get in touch that way, so it’s almost definitely a scam. It’s worrying because some folks might fall for it and get conned. Best to just block the number if you get one like this.

I got two voicemails from this number, one being from 01622 area, which I believe is Maidstone, saying they were from HMRC and threatening me with legal trouble. The weirdest part was they finished the message with “have a blessed day.” I’m almost positive HMRC wouldn’t speak like that!

Got a dodgy text pretending to be from HMRC, looked like a scam to me. Best thing to do is just block the number and ignore it, don’t reply at all.

Got a call from HMRC claiming rubbish again, with some recorded voice telling me to ring up a Lisa Williams. Unlike some others here, I kinda hope she signed off with a “have a blessed day” or something cheesy like that. Either way, it’s a total scam. Last week I got at least five calls from a 0208 number, each time a new threat, new message, and a different contact to call back. Definitely don’t trust these!

Like a lot of folks, I keep getting these robo calls claiming to be from HMRC, warning about court proceedings and telling me to talk to someone called Lisa. I've received about four different calls from various numbers, all blocked now. They say this is my final warning, ha! Honestly, whoever’s behind this needs to be stopped - it’s awful because these scams could easily trick older people who are more vulnerable. Best thing is to just give it a miss and don’t answer! 🤬

Got a robotic message supposedly from HMRC, started with something like “this message is for you” which felt really cold and fake. It went on saying there’s some legal trouble with my name and if I don’t do anything, it will be a big problem. They wanted me to ring a number and chat with someone called Lisa Williams. The whole thing sounded pretty scary, and it finished off with “have a black day” which was just rude and weird.

Got a call from a number saying to ring back urgently or face legal action, pretending to be from HMRC. It felt really threatening and sketchy. My phone showed the original call came from 01618187416, but then they wanted me to phone back on a nearly identical number that ended with a 7 instead of a 6. Definitely dodgy and worrying behaviour.
