I’ve received two calls in as many days from similar numbers - one was 01235255498, and the callers claimed to be David Williams and Michelle Williams. Both had Asian accents and said they were calling from Virgin Media, warning that my internet had been hacked. It’s obviously a scam, so don’t trust those reassuring green safe messages. Be sure to warn older relatives or friends who might get caught out by these awful scammers.

Really dodgy call! Someone said they were from Sky and wanted me to download this app called "quicksupport" so they could get into my phone remotely to fix internet issues. I kept telling them my internet was fine, but they wouldn't listen and kept saying there was a problem that needed checking. When I said I didn’t have enough storage space on my phone, they got really pushy, urging me to delete apps just to install their quicksupport thing. Watch out and don’t fall for it! Best to just ignore calls like that.

Possible scam! A caller claiming to be from Sky just rang me up, insisting I download "quicksupport" onto my phone so they could access it remotely to investigate my internet issues! I kept stating that my internet is functioning perfectly well, but he wouldn’t have any of it, saying there was definitely a problem that needed sorting out. I eventually told him that I was short on storage and would return the call later. Take heed and steer clear of such calls!!

Got a few calls from someone saying they were with Virgin Media, but they kept their number hidden. Said it was about our broadband, which is alright by me. They rang a couple of times but never left a voicemail; all I could hear were weird clicks and random ringing noises. Quite odd really.

I got a ring from a bloke claiming he was with Virgin Media, saying there was someone trying to hack into my internet. He told me to switch on my computer so he could guide me step by step. I wasn’t comfortable, so I asked for a number to ring him back. He said his name was Jack Brown and he worked in Virgin Media's tech support, sounded like he had an Asian accent.

My mum got a call from someone named David Matthews who said he was from TalkTalk and that she was due a refund of £320, not a cheque but straight into her bank. I rang back on 01618182967 and the bloke said he was with Virgin Media. When I asked why there was confusion, he insisted he worked for TalkTalk and then rudely told me to quit bothering elderly folks. Proper rude behaviour, really.

Got a call from some bloke called Richard Williams using the number 02031568956 claiming he was with Virgin Media. He told me our network was under attack and to ring 01618182967 for help, which I quickly realised was a total scam. I've passed the details on to Virgin Media. Watch out, it’s definitely a con!!!

This happened to me too, it’s crazy. He ended up giving me some ID thing, said it was his virgin number or something like vm8657q20. Totally weird.

I got a call from 02031568956 claiming to be Virgin Media. The woman said someone else was using my internet and started asking how many gadgets I had connected. She then asked me to open my laptop and describe what was showing on the screen. I told her I was tied up and asked if I could ring back later, and she gave me another number, 01618182967. Turns out this is a scam. The caller was an Asian lady and it was clearly a dodgy call.

Really happy I looked it up first. Got a call from someone named Richard Williams claiming to be from BT. His strong Indian accent made me suspicious, and the name felt off too. Definitely not ringing their customer service number!

Someone named David Matthews rang me saying he was from BT tech support. He got me to download a TeamViewer app or something like that. Then they pressured me into giving my card details, saying I was due a refund. After that, my internet got cut off which was really upsetting. I’m planning to contact my provider about this. It’s a proper scary experience, so watch out for this scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, saying there was something wrong with my internet router. They had me install TeamViewer QuickSupport, then used it to take over my phone, download other apps, and started moving money from my account to somewhere else. When I rang them back, they actually admitted they were scammers! Don’t share any info with them, it’s definitely a con. Watch out!
