Claiming I’m under a set routine.

I got a call from someone who already had my name and address, saying they’d be posting me a letter that I needed to complete and send back. There were kids crying in the background, which was odd. I kept the conversation going for a while, just curious about what was happening. When I asked what the letter was for, she gave me some unclear nonsense about winning money. Then she asked for my date of birth. I told her I wasn’t giving that out since I didn’t know who she was. Then she just hung up on me.

I picked up the phone, said hello, and they just dropped the call right away. They’d already tried ringing me twice before that.

They keep calling over and over again. If you try to block one number, they just ring back from a different one. It’s pretty annoying.

Blimey, received a right dodgy call from a fella in Manchester! He claims I’m in line for a £2,500 refund from a few banks that were slapped with fines for mis-selling PPI. Apparently, he’s drafting a letter to me. Then, out of the blue, he started grilling me about which banks I’ve had loans with and when I took them out. I thought, shouldn’t he already have that info if he's saying I’m owed money? Crickets on his end! I just told him to get that letter over to me first, and only then will I consider my next move!
