9 yearsI received a rather dubious phone call from someone purporting to be from Manchester, claiming they had a cheque worth around £2600 for me. The trickster mentioned something about a credit card I’ve never even heard of! They were keen to confirm my home address and other personal details, but I wasn’t having any of that nonsense. I firmly told them to jog on. It's alarming how these scams can prey on the unwitting, and I really think it's high time that the authorities took more robust action to tackle these persistent cold callers and protect vulnerable individuals!Manchester9 yearsGot a couple of calls from this number claiming I’m owed more than £2000 back. They said they’ve been trying to reach me and that they’d send a letter soon, just needed some info.
