This number rang me three times today - the first two times I answered, but there was just silence. The third call, a bloke started talking about some condensation issue with loft insulation that supposedly had been fitted. Got a call again today from 01617381860, that must be the fifth this week! They're pretending to be from some insulation grant company. This time, I just played a fax machine noise through the phone - hope it threw them off a bit. What a cheeky scam!

Hey, about half an hour ago I got a ring from someone named Alex saying my home insulation was rubbish and causing damp, and that I needed a free loft survey. I told him I don’t even have a loft and he just cut me off. I checked out some other reviews here and tried ringing the other numbers people mentioned, 0203 289 7883 and 0161 738 1860, but both were dead lines. Feels like a total scam to me. On top of that, my mobile’s been getting annoying calls from someone pretending to be HMRC. This whole thing’s dodgy and I reckon the Police should be doing a lot more to tackle these calls.

Another call from 'loft insulation' folks - you'd think after reading all the posts here they'd give it a rest by now. Definitely feels like a scam.

Seems like Alex is really struggling today, repeating the same lines others have pointed out before. I questioned where he was calling from and he claimed London, but the number showed up as Manchester - which is odd. He told me he worked for some firm called Insulation Advisory Service. When I asked if that was linked to the government, he just said no and then abruptly ended the call.

This number rang me #once more# at half past nine today (it tends to ring off and on throughout the week). I didn’t pick up, but my landline’s acting up and won’t hang up properly so I just left it off the hook all day. That way a) they get charged for the call and b) they can’t call again. I’ll hang up eventually. ??????????

Got a call from someone saying he was Alex, working for the government, talking about my loft insulation sagging. Thing is, I don't even have a loft! I said he must have the wrong number and he just cut me off straight away. Looks like he's trying a proper scam to me!

I keep getting calls from this same number about loft insulation, even though I'm registered with the telephone preference service! I always end up just hanging up, but they never seem to stop ringing. So annoying!

Today, "Alex" tried calling once more about insulating my place through some Government scheme. When I mentioned I was actually a shop, he just dropped the call on me. Proper rude, that! Maybe shops want insulation too, eh? Bit funny if you ask me!
