They keep ringing asking for someone specific, and as soon as you say they’re not here (whether they really are or not), the caller just cuts off without saying who they are. I heard they’re after people who’ve had PPI claims. It’s really bad harassment - they don’t stop, calling both landlines and mobiles all the time. Honestly, these calls should be blocked for good.

I kept getting calls from this number but didn’t bother picking up. After a while, I decided to answer just to see what it was about. Turned out to be a firm wanting to help me claim PPI. They asked if I’d ever had credit cards, loans or store cards, but I said no and they promptly ended the call.

Hi there, Earlier today, this number rang me up - I actually missed a call from it a little while ago too. The person said he was from some sort of claims outfit and proceeded to ask if I’d had any accidents over the past couple of years or any incidents on my record. Just after those questions, I asked where exactly he was calling from, and then he just cut the call. I’m not really sure what this number is about, but it definitely raised a few red flags for me. Might be worth reporting this to the cops just in case.

The caller asked straight for me by name, but when I asked what the call was about, he began going on about refunds for claims. I told him I’m registered with the telephone preference service so I don’t get cold calls like that and that he was breaking EU rules. He argued it wasn’t a cold call, but I just said I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Whenever I get a call like this on my mobile, I reply with a few messages packed with a jumble of random characters, numbers and symbols. It’s a bit of a hassle but it’s kinda funny seeing how they react.

This number keeps ringing me as well. When you pick up and say something like "Hi", it knows someone’s there and connects you to a call centre where some pushy telemarketer tries to sell you stuff. But if you just answer without saying anything, it assumes it’s gone to voicemail and ends the call straight away.
