It felt like they were just trying to fish for details, and I suspect it was a scam aimed at selling something. Said they were from Motor Investigations in Devon. When I asked why the call was from a Manchester number, they said it’s because their main office is there. Claimed they got my info from a price comparison site but wouldn’t share the company’s official registered name, telling me to just Google it. Then said they can’t give out the company’s address or director's name as it’s confidential. After I told them they’re legally supposed to provide their trading name and registered address, they put me on hold and then just disconnected the call.

I've experienced something quite similar myself; an Indian chap rang me up insisting there was a car accident involving me from three years back. He really blundered when he mentioned my previous address, claiming I had a minor collision in a car park, while I was nowhere near my vehicle at the time. When I pressed him for details about who I supposedly collided with, he brushed it off, saying it was irrelevant. That was the final straw for me-I told him to get lost! Got a call from a woman on 0161 6417159, she kept going on about some accident and money being set aside or something. I just let her ramble for like 10 minutes, then said I don’t drive and never had any accident. Told her to quit wasting my time and then ended the call.

Really awful experience, the woman on the phone barely spoke English clearly, and when I told her I've not been in any vehicle at all, she told me to stop yelling as it could harm my health, then she started laughing at me. Having lost my spouse not long ago, this call upset me a lot. I finished by warning I’d take legal action for harassment if they didn’t take me off their list. Hope this lady realises the upset she’s causing.

I can't believe how annoying this is! I’ve had loads of calls from this number so I just blocked it now. These absolute muppets are the reason I had to go online to check who they are and then write this just to let off some steam!!! Don’t get why they keep ringing me though, I don’t drive, never have, and definitely never had any car insurance! Plus, never been involved in any accident as a third party either. Sometimes I wish I lived in Manchester so I could get a job with them and totally mess up their call system. Feel a bit better after typing this, cheers!

I've received a barrage of calls from this number, amounting to a staggering 43 in the last three weeks. I've pleaded with them to take my number off their list at least twenty times, yet the calls persist. Today alone, I've been interrupted by them five separate times! It's beyond frustrating!

I asked them how they got my number and they said they’re Motor accident investigators, claiming my insurer passed my info onto them for a follow-up. I asked multiple times where exactly they got my number from but they just hung up on me. I haven’t been in any accident, so I’m certain they were not telling the truth - might have fooled me if I wasn’t paying attention.

I've received my second call in the space of a week from some chaps claiming I was involved in an accident last year. Quite frankly, I'm convinced that my details have somehow found their way into the hands of these callers, likely sold off by Saga. The caller insisted that I must have ticked a box on my insurance renewal form, but that's nonsense! My renewal was processed automatically, so I didn't sign anything. It's evident this is just an annoying scam.

Got a call just now. When he said where he was from, I cut him off and said, "Honestly, to save us both time, I’ve never had a car crash and I don’t actually drive." The woman on the other end had a thick Indian accent, which made it quite difficult to decipher what she was saying. They’ve previously contacted me from a different number, so I decided to hang up and block this one as well.

The woman said I was in some accident, which is not true at all. I asked her for the CEO's name, the company's address, phone number and email - all things she should give. Some bloke called sayin I'd had a car crash over a year ago - which I definitely haven't! He was chatting to someone else near him about trainers, then suddenly started shouting at me, saying I had an accident. I shouted back saying I hadn’t. Then he told me not to shout, so I told him he started it. When I asked to be taken off whatever list he had, he said it was something to do with a renewal and claimed there was no list. I gave up and hung up there.
