Just got a call from someone claiming I’d been in a car accident and they were with some kind of investigation team. Thing is, I haven’t had an accident in like 16 years, so I have no idea what they’re talking about. The lady on the phone was foreign and got really annoyed with me when I questioned her.

When I told them I didn’t owe anything, the bloke got really rude and kept going on with "how do you know that, Emma love?" I told him not to speak to me like that and to stop calling. He was proper nasty and I just ended the call.

I got a call from this number earlier. It was a woman speaking with a South African accent. She claimed to be from First Solutions and said that due to new government regulations, I could get a refund on PPI for credit card interest. Thing is, I never pay interest, so I don’t think I’m owed anything. Suddenly, the call just cut out while she was still talking!

They ring both in the day and evening and say I’ve got a ppi claim on a credit card I haven’t had in like 20 years. They also mention a loan but the moment I say Volkswagen finance, they suddenly lose interest. So yeah, the radio stays on when they call.

They keep using different names like First Solutions or something, over the past few months ive had like 50 to 100 calls from them. I've told them loads of times I'm not interested but they just keep ringing. I'm proper fed up now, even told them to stop calling but they just say I'm being rude when I tell them off. This number has called me about five times over the past couple of days, always at different hours. The person on the other end had a really harsh and unfriendly voice, nothing like a sales pitch. Lately, I've received several calls from this number (current as of 16th Nov 2015). They ring at all hours, but nobody talks when I answer. My phone company suggested signing up for the call preference service, which I've already done. There's also a service named 'Silent Call Guard' with the number 0800 587 5252 that might help. I'll wait and see if taking these actions makes any difference.

I picked up a call on my home phone at 6:26 pm on 5th October. The caller said his name was Simon Carter from Easylife and claimed I was due a refund. He asked me to confirm my address as ####. When I asked for details about the refund first, he said he could only explain after I confirmed my address. I refused and asked again about the refund. He then snapped, "Well, no cheque for you then, goodbye," and hung up. I got in touch with Easylife later and they told me I wasn’t owed anything, plus I haven’t bought from them in ages!

This number kept calling me in the afternoon. When I answered with a simple ‘hello’ and got no reply, I said “Leave me alone” the second time it rang and just hung up. Wasn’t exactly feeling chipper then... Later on in the evening, the same number popped up again. My missus picked it up and the person asked for me by name. She said “This is he” and then the caller just cut off. We don’t have caller ID, so we can’t just screen the calls. Really irritating, kinda rude, and a bit unsettling, honestly.

My mum got a call on her landline from this company asking for someone who doesn’t actually live there. When she explained this, the bloke on the other end started being really rude to her. She requested to be taken off their calling list, but he just said no and told her he didn’t care, then slammed the phone down.
