Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they were ringing from Phillipson Hardwick solicitors about a tax refund linked to a PPI claim. They mentioned it was from like 7 or 8 years ago, but I told them my claim wasn't that old. They kept pushing and then asked for my address, so I just made up an excuse and hung up. They rang back again later that evening. My claim had never even been with those solicitors!

Just got a call from 01615329340 about 5 minutes ago. The woman on the line sounded really professional but she spoke so quickly it made me suspicious. She had my previous address, date of birth and email which was creepy. She said I’d claimed PPI before with no luck but might qualify now. When I asked for something in writing, she said they stopped sending letters since Covid. Definitely watch out, this is a scam!

Got calls from people saying they're The Claims Guys or Philipson Harwick Solicitors, pretending to be connected with The Claims Guys. They push hard to get you to click on a link - whatever you do, don’t click it. I rang the company myself and told them they’re not genuine. I made sure they removed my info and warned them I’d report them to the Police and Action Fraud. If you get a call like this, I’d recommend doing exactly the same.

I received a phone call today from the number 0161 532 7208. The gentleman on the line had an Asian accent. He claimed to be representing a company working with HMRC, stating that I was entitled to a refund concerning PIP. Unfortunately, I can’t recall the name of the firm he mentioned. He had my complete name and address, which was rather unsettling! I refrained from providing him with any personal information, and he simply wished me farewell before disconnecting the call. Quite frankly, I'm not expecting any refund, but I find it rather alarming that he had my address.
