I haven't a clue who rang, as I don't have caller ID. There was just silence on the other end, and after a moment, they hung up.

I received a call from a chap named Samuel Walker, who claimed to be a certified engineer from Apple. He supposedly rang me from London, but the area code suggested Manchester. He had quite a thick Asian accent. This individual informed me that my computer was riddled with unnecessary downloads and even mentioned my ID licence number, though it didn’t correspond to anything on my actual device. He urged me to grant him access to my computer. I politely mentioned that I would prefer to verify his credentials before proceeding. When I tried to return the call using 1471, the number didn’t connect properly; it emitted some strange tones and then cut off. All signs lead me to believe this is a dodgy operation. Best to steer clear!
