If you scroll down a bit, about 5 comments below this one, you'll find some advice on how to put a stop to these scammy calls. It's really on you, mate, if you want it to end. Also, take a look at the pinned post at the top of the page - it shows who actually owns the number. Loads of scam complaints seem to be linked to these small telecom firms. When you report these dodgy calls to the police, make sure you mention who owns the number. Hopefully, if they get enough complaints, the coppers will eventually crack down on these blokes.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon. I told him I actually worked there too and asked where he was calling from. When he said London, I went ahead and asked if he knew a guy I made up in their fraud team just to see how he’d react. Didn’t seem to catch on and I didn’t feel like wasting more time, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke calling himself Michael Hill from HSBC. He said I'd received two emails from them the night before around 10pm. He asked me to check my phone on the spot, but there was nothing there. Then he insisted I look on my computer, but I said no thanks and just nodded politely, telling him I appreciated the heads up. He kept pestering why I wouldn’t log onto my PC. Apparently, £450 had been taken from my account via PayPal, according to him. I ended the call right away. It’s beyond me why these con artists are still allowed to operate!!!

Got a ring from this number and some woman said she was Eirika Marshall from Amazon Security. Thing is, Amazon doesn’t have my home phone listed anywhere. I asked her straight up if she enjoyed scamming people. Kinda shocked she didn’t just hang up right away. I told her bye-bye and ended the call, but just before I did, I caught her muttering something like “this isn’t a scam.” Yeah, sure it isn’t.

Some guy with an Indian accent called claiming to be from Amazon security. He told me someone had bought an iPhone using my account and the payment was currently on hold. He said they’d emailed me about it and told me to check my computer for the message. I said I’d just looked on my phone and saw nothing. Then he asked me to use my laptop or desktop to look instead.
