Phone number ☎️ 01615202135 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation targeting individuals with claims of refunds related to washing machine warranties or appliance insurance, often citing overpayments that recipients never made. Callers, frequently using strong foreign accents and working from noisy call centres, attempt to obtain personal bank account details under the guise of processing refunds. Many recipients note that requests for official company details or written confirmation are evaded or result in hang-ups. The scam has caused significant frustration and concern, especially among the elderly and vulnerable. Blocking calls is generally ineffective as scammers use multiple spoofed numbers. Victims are advised not to share any personal or financial information, decline to provide bank details, request refunds via cheque, and report all such calls to the police and relevant authorities to help combat this ongoing issue.

I got a call claiming to be from HOMECARE, saying I’d been overcharged by more than £100 on my washing machine warranty. When I asked them to tell me the brand and model of my washer, the person couldn’t do it. They just kept pushing me to say if I wanted my refund or not. It felt like such a dodgy scam. Watch out for this one!

These scams have been around way too long. They must be making good money for these scumbags otherwise they wouldn't bother. If you look at about 4 comments below this one, there’s 3 steps shared that help cut down on most of these annoying scam calls and texts we keep getting. Just a heads up, blocking isn’t part of those steps!

Got a call from a woman who said she was ringing from some appliance insurance firm. Told me I was owed like £190 back. Problem is, I never took out any insurance on my appliances, so I just ended the call before she could even ask for my bank info 😂

My 84-year-old mum got a call from this bloke claiming there was a refund for a washing machine warranty. I answered on her behalf. He was really pushy, insisting that all washing machines come with a warranty. I told him we didn’t have any such guarantee and he got quite impolite about it. I humoured him, asking how he could possibly refund something free. Despite that, he kept on trying to persuade me and just wanted my bank details. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call for Annie??? Some bloke looking for a Mr (don’t recall the last name). They said we’d been charged too much for a washing machine warranty and promised to give back £180. How generous, considering we never even bought that warranty! Told them I’d see if anyone was around to speak to them, then quickly ended the call. Nice try, scammers.

I've received three phone calls from this number, each claiming that I've been overcharged for my washing machine repair and offering to refund me £119 if I provide my bank details. It's worth mentioning that I've indeed had some work done on my washing machine not long ago. When I requested the foreign-sounding woman to send me a written confirmation or perhaps a cheque instead-since there’s no need for my bank details-she hung up without another word. Clearly, this is a scam and quite a concerning one at that!

I’ve encountered a rather similar situation. It appears they have a knack for targeting washing machine repairs!

Some bloke called from Home Care saying I’d paid too much for my washing machine insurance and they owed me a refund. I told him I cancelled that ages ago, like 15 years back, so if anything I deserved interest on it! Then he asked for my bank details which I wasn’t happy to give over the phone. I suggested they just send a cheque and asked for confirmation of the address. He insisted it was company rules to get my bank info. Didn’t want to share, so I just ended the call.

BEWARE OF INSURANCE CASHBACK FRAUDS! You should always report these scams straight to the police fraud portal. Just search for ‘action fraud UK’ and head over to the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the section about ‘reporting phishing’ and make sure to read all the guidance carefully. Then submit the info about the scam, including any URLs or web addresses. You don’t need to register or give any personal details unless you’ve actually lost money to the fraud. The only way the police can track and tackle these scams is if we all report every dodgy call or message we get.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Home Care about appliance insurance for my washing machine, saying I’d been charged £119 too much. They asked me how I wanted the refund, and I said cheque, but they said that wasn't possible. When she tried to double-check my address, she ended up giving me an old one we left like 16 years ago! Madness.

Honestly, I find these calls absolutely hilarious! It’s clear they’re scams, no doubt about it, and it’s awful for anyone who ends up losing cash. But me? I enjoy messing with them a bit. Sometimes I just tell them to keep the money because I’m rolling in it. They totally freeze when I say I’m a millionaire, then they just hang up on me. Always cracks me up!

Got a call from someone calling himself "Henry" claiming to be from "Homecare". He said I'd been accidentally charged and needed my bank details to sort out a refund. Thing is, I don't even use any Homecare services and haven't been charged anything by them. Pretty obvious this is a lame scam trying to trick people.

Got a call from a supposed home repairs firm claiming I was wrongly charged £119 for my washing machine warranty and they wanted to give me a refund. They knew my name and address but were pushing for my bank info. Smelt fishy right away. I told them to just send a cheque since they’ve already got my details, then the line went dead. Checked my bank and there’s been no £119 taken out. Watch out for this sort of thing!

Got a call from 01615202135, and right away there was loads of background noise - classic scam sign if you ask me. A woman with a strange accent asked if I was so-and-so. Told her no, even though she actually had the right name. Then she just hung up on me. Suspicious to say the least.

I got a call claiming I was due a refund on my home care insurance and they wanted my bank details, but they wouldn't tell me the address of the company they were supposedly from. They said they needed my account number to confirm my identity and sort the payment. When I asked if they could just send a cheque by post, they said that wasn’t possible because of the pandemic. They got really pushy when I declined and then just hung up on me. Proper professional behaviour, eh?

I received a call from 01615202135 on the 25th of April 2022, around 4:04 PM. It was a right dodgy affair! The voice on the other end sounded like an automated Indian bot, and the line was dreadful. They were trying to pass themselves off as legitimate callers, but it was clear they were just a bunch of scammers. The chatter was all over the place - utter nonsense filled with a lot of gibberish and flimsy excuses. Total phishing attempt, if you ask me! Watch out for this number, it’s nothing but trouble!

They had all my details-name and address-so it begs the question: which firm has sold off their customer lists? Honestly, you can’t put your faith in anyone anymore. These twits are nothing but con artists. This is the second time I've been bothered in just three days. What a right mess!

I completely overlooked mentioning that they claim I've paid too much for my washing machine insurance. To be honest, I don't usually bother with such covers since they often turn out to be more of a financial drain than anything else.

Just like others have mentioned, I received a call from a lady named Sophie Brown, who was inquiring about refunding money related to a washing machine warranty.

Over the past few days, I’ve gotten two calls from 01615 202135. They told me they want to give me back £119 because of a supposed overcharge on a washing machine insurance plan. Feels a bit suspicious don’t you think?

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent, claiming he’d sort out a refund for my washing machine insurance - something like over £100. I told him straight, “Let me guess, you want my bank info next?” Honestly, why can’t these scammers just leave folk alone? Then the call just cut off.

Got a call from someone claiming to be His Care, saying they were refunding me £119 for washing machine insurance - thing is, I’ve never had insurance for the washer. They asked for my bank details and some sort of diet code or something? Didn’t trust it for a second and hung up. No chance I’m giving out my info like that.

Beware of scams claiming to refund you for home appliance insurance. I got a call saying I was due a refund, but it turned out to be a complete con. Don't fall for these tricks, they just want your bank details!

I got a call from 01615202135 but didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number. Later, I saw there was a voicemail, but it was just constant background chatter, like a noisy call centre. Seems like one of those dodgy scam calls to me.

I recently encountered a similar situation myself. When I suggested they send me a physical cheque, they insisted it could only be deposited directly into my bank account. I pointed out that if I had mistakenly overpaid them in the past, they would already possess my banking information. I refuse to share those details over the phone, no matter the circumstances. Oddly enough, had I not been aware of such scams, I might have easily been duped, especially since I’m currently anticipating a repair for my washing machine through our cover plan.

Got a call from an Asian bloke who said I was due £19 back. Told him straight up that he was talking rubbish and then I just ended the call. Weird thing is, he actually knew my name and my landline number. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a call again from 01615202135 claiming my washing machine warranty was about to expire. Both callers had weird foreign accents. Told them to piss off, sounded like total scammers. If they ring me again, they’ll get blasted with a loud air horn for sure.

Some woman from a home appliances company called me, saying I'd overpaid and she wanted the money back. She started asking loads of personal details, which made me suspicious. I told her to post me a cheque instead, but she said that wasn't how they worked. After that, I just ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming I was due a refund from 'Homecare' for paying too much on washing machine cover. They mentioned my full name and address, but the accent was clearly foreign, I'd guess Asian. I've never taken out any washing machine insurance though. I had a similar call about a week back and tried to humour them for a while, but the bloke was hard to understand so I ended up shouting “scam!” quite loud down the phone. The number that popped up was 01615202135.

They rang me up sayin they wanted my bank details so they could give me a refund for a washing machine I supposedly bought. I just told them to put the refund back on the card I actually used to buy it. I got a call from a lady with a foreign accent claiming to be from some refund department about home care stuff wanting to give me £119 back. She started by confirming my address with me. Then she kept asking if I wanted the money sent to my current or savings account. When I told her it didn’t matter, just whichever account it came from, she repeated the question like I hadn’t answered. I told her I wasn’t about to give out my bank details, and she snapped back with "do you want your refund or not, ma'am?" before hanging up on me.
