Phone number ☎️ 01615201965 👆 is reported as a persistent and aggressive scam involving calls claiming to offer refunds on non-existent washing machine or appliance warranties. Callers often know personal details like the recipient’s name and address, increasing their deceit. They pressure victims for bank or card details, sometimes using various accents and fake company names. Blocking numbers is largely ineffective as they frequently use different or spoofed contact numbers. Victims report harassment, intimidation, and repeated calls, causing distress. It is advised never to provide personal financial information and to demand written confirmation. Public awareness and parliamentary action for call-blocking technology are encouraged to reduce these fraudulent activities.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d bagged a free dining voucher. They had my address and postcode, said they’d post it out to me. Kept going over my name and address, but I refused to say if it was right or wrong. Felt really creepy. Absolute nightmare of a caller. This is the fifth time in three days they’ve rung me from different numbers, just similar enough to be annoying. I block one number and then they come through on a different one. It’s gotten so bad I’m actually scared to pick up the phone now.

Someone rang me claiming to be from Domestic and General, saying they wanted to refund some money into my bank account. I told them it sounded like a scam, but they kept insisting and seemed to know my details. I’ve contacted my bank just to be safe, as I do have a direct debit with Domestic for insurance on two appliances. The bank said no money has been taken and the scammers can’t withdraw anything unless I authorise a new account setup. Fingers crossed they’re right. I’ve also reported the scam to the actual company and passed on the phone number that called me.

Got a call from someone who already had my name and where I live. They tried that classic appliance refund trick. I just told them to reach out to my accountant instead and handed over the number for Action Fraud. Hopefully, they go report themselves!

Got a call from a guy who said his name was Richard, but he had an Indian accent. He claimed to be from Homecare, saying they’d accidentally taken £119 from my bank for an old warranty on one of my appliances. When I asked which item he meant, he said a Hotpoint washing machine. I did own one around 20 years ago! Felt really dodgy, like a scam, so I just told him that and ended the call. What creeped me out was that he already knew my full name and where I live.

I received a suspicious phone call from an individual who identified himself as "Richard", although his accent didn't match the name. He claimed to be calling from "Homecare" and informed me that I had been mistakenly charged £119 for an outdated appliance warranty, with a promise to issue a refund. Sensing that it might be a scam, I decided to probe further. I enquired about the specific appliance, and he mentioned a Hotpoint washing machine. To my surprise, I did own such a machine about 20 years ago. The fact that he knew my name and address concerned me greatly. Realizing that this interaction had all the hallmarks of a scam, I quickly interrupted him before he could request my bank details and ended the call abruptly.

Got a call from this number a little while ago. The bloke spoke with a strong Indian accent and asked, “Hello, am I talking to Mr *** ****?” I replied, “Possibly, who’s this please?” and then he just hung up straight away. Definitely seems like some kind of scam. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I got a call from a Chinese lady who claimed I'd paid too much on my washing machine service. She asked for my email and bank info. I told her to send me a letter instead and reminded her they’d already got my bank details, so they should just refund me that way. After that, she said something about passing me to her manager and then just cut the call.

Like a few others, I got charged way too much for my washing machine warranty. I asked them to send the refund by post. Honestly, I just wanted to chuck the lot in the washer and let it run forever. These con artists seriously ought to be behind bars.

Certainly a scam, simply hang up the phone.

It appears to be a fraudulent attempt related to washing machine insurance. They falsely claimed that I had overpaid them £119. These scammers have contacted me multiple times in the past, always seeking the person who previously had my phone number. Since I had some free time, I decided to play along and pretended to be the person they were looking for. I gladly accepted their offer of £119, mentioning that it would be a great help for Christmas, even though today is actually Good Friday. Then they requested my bank details, but I stated that I didn't possess any. Surprisingly, they were willing to retrieve my Barclaycard details instead. I told them to call again once I had located my card, even though I don't actually possess one. Finally, I bid them farewell by wishing them a Happy New Year and ended the call.

He rang up saying his firm owed me £119 back from a warranty I'd paid for back in March 2016. When I asked what amount I'd actually paid, he said he couldn’t tell me because of Data Protection rules - even when I explained GDPR only stops sharing info with outsiders. Then he asked for my IBAN details, and when I refused, he said he just needed the numbers at the bottom of my cheques. I told him that wasn’t needed to send a cheque, but he insisted that sending a cheque by post might get lost and then I’d sue them! I told him there was no such warranty and called him out as a scammer.

Lately, I've been inundated with calls that just go silent, supposedly from UK numbers. If I don’t recognise the caller, I simply let them ring through to my voicemail these days. Strangely enough, they never seem to leave a message! On another note, I highly recommend tuning in to Rav Wilding's programme, Scam Interceptors, airing on BBC1 at 10am on weekdays until next Friday, the 22nd of April. It's quite eye-opening to witness the cunning tactics these scammers employ and how unfortunately gullible some individuals can be.

I received a call from someone with an Asian accent named 'John', purporting to be from the warranty department. He insisted that they needed to refund an overpayment regarding a warranty that doesn’t actually exist. This chap was rather persistent and even harassed my wife for information. Surprisingly, we’ve now encountered two different people using the same number. The whole situation had the unmistakable feel of a call centre, with various voices chattering away in the background. Quite dubious if you ask me!

BEWARE OF SCAMS! If you get any dodgy calls or messages, make sure you report them straight to the police fraud site. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and go to ‘police.uk’. Find the part for reporting phishing scams and carefully read everything there. Then add all the details about what happened, including any websites or links involved. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money. The only way the police can track and stop these scams is if everyone reports them, so don’t ignore those annoying calls or texts!

Got a call from 0161 0520 1965 claiming I was owed £119.00 back for a washing machine warranty. I would like to request a refund of £119 for a warranty. I provided the company with the reference number, as requested, which can be found on my bank statement. However, I explained that I do not have my card number or any personal information they requested. Additionally, I mentioned that I do not have a cheque book as well. When asked how I would prefer to receive the refund, I suggested sending a cheque to my address. Unfortunately, the phone call abruptly ended after a male caller of Asian descent hung up.

Got a call from 01615201965 claiming I’m due a refund on a washing machine warranty that I supposedly never should’ve been charged for. The bloke had a foreign accent but gave a really British sounding name. He said they’d send me paperwork in the post, but when I said I’d wait for that, he went right back to trying to explain it all again. I told him I’d ring back later and hung up. Got a call from this number earlier. A woman with a really thick Indian accent said I was due a refund for some home appliance insurance I'd supposedly overpaid on. I told her I didn't have any insurance and then ended the call. Then, about an hour later, the same number called again but when I answered, there was silence on the other end.

I was recently approached by someone claiming to offer me a refund of £119, which they said I had been overcharged for a washing machine back in 2017. However, upon closer inspection, I realized that this was a complete scam. I promptly requested them to send me a cheque in the post, as they already had my name and address. To my dismay, they immediately ended the conversation. Something seems fishy about this whole situation!

Immediate shutdown of a highly dangerous scam involving warranty refunds to trick individuals into revealing their bank details at my residence is imperative. The scam originates from call centres where individuals with limited proficiency in English are employed. Additionally, this scam exhibits a high level of risk and poses a significant threat to the public.

I got a call about a washing machine warranty refund from TPS Services, and at the start they kept asking for my IBAN and bank details even though I said I'd prefer a cheque. Then suddenly they just cut off. I phoned back and pressed 1 to stop any more calls, but a woman picked up and said she'd connect me so I could sort the refund. So I asked her where she was based, and she said central London. When I pointed out that the number I called was from Manchester, she quickly ended the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Today, I received a phone call informing me that I was owed money for my washing machine. However, the caller quickly began inquiring about my bank details. Recognizing the signs of a potential scam, as I had experienced similar calls before, I confronted the caller and stated that they were trying to deceive me. To my surprise, the caller denied asking for my personal information, refuting their intention. The conversation took a turn when they mentioned payment methods, and I suggested receiving the owed funds via cheque. Unfortunately, the caller continued to press for additional details. Eventually, in frustration, I requested that they send their request in writing and abruptly ended the call. It is crucial to be cautious of such scammers, especially when they target vulnerable individuals.
