I found myself in a similar situation to a few others who've expressed their grievances on this site. Apparently, I was due a refund of £119 for an overcharged insurance payment. However, when I asked for clarification regarding a certain number on a cheque, it left me utterly confused. Like many, I lost my cool and insisted on receiving a cheque immediately. They abruptly ended the call. What’s more, unlike your typical scammers, this lot have the audacity to allow you to call back, but my attempts went in vain.
