Got a call from someone saying he was with accident claims. Sounded a bit off, so I didn’t really trust it. Not sure what they were after, but seemed like one of those dodgy calls.

Called back and all I got was dead silence, no one spoke a word.

So I picked up and a woman with an accent said she was Rita from some claims department. I asked, "Claims department for which company?" and then she just cut me off.

I got a call from this guy with a strong Asian accent who said his name was Peter. He claimed he was ringing from some “claim recovery department” and asked how I was doing. I gave him a response that I’m sure wasn’t what he had in mind, then ended the call quick smart. Blocked him straight away.

I found it quite challenging to comprehend the caller due to their pronounced accent, which seemed to be possibly African. They inquired whether I was facing any issues at home. I probed further, asking what sort of problems they were referring to, and they mentioned something about a plumbing leak. Naturally, I was taken aback and questioned how they had come to such a conclusion. At that point, they abruptly ended the call! It’s evident that this was not a legitimate outreach, especially since they didn’t want to answer even the simplest of my security questions. Quite dubious, to say the least! 😟
