For sure an O2 sales call, sounded proper legit. When I mentioned my worries, they sent a message through the network. I went ahead with the deal they offered, and got a real official text and email confirming everything.

Someone rang me saying they're from O2, with some sort of deal on new contract rates supposedly because I've been a loyal customer or somethin. I got suspicious since O2 has never bothered to call me before. When I said I was a bit wary about the call, the woman sent me a text to 'prove' she was legit! Didn’t want to share any details tho, so I just blocked the number.

This number kept calling me loads of times every day. I picked up yesterday and a lady asked if I live by myself. I ended the call right then and rang o2. They told me it’s from the o2 sales team, and the only way to stop it is to call back and press option 2 to opt out of any more calls.

Someone said they were from O2 and kept pushing for my personal details. I told them I don’t share that stuff over the phone, but they just kept going on like "I’ve got your info here, just need to check a few things." Either it’s some spammer or O2's acting a bit shady.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be from O2, saying I’d been with them for ages and there were discounts I could get on my plan. They tried to do a security check, but I asked how I could be sure it was really O2. The bloke (think his name was Sean?) said he’d send me a text from their network then call me back. Of course, no text arrived and I never got a callback. Not 100% sure it’s a scam but either way, it felt pretty dodgy.

Someone said they were from 02 and even knew my name since I’m an 02 user. I didn’t give out any info but she just kept going, rambling about loyalty perks. It came across as a proper loud (and dodgy) call centre. Then she burped and ended the call.

Supposedly calling from o2, but even though the number showed Manchester, the woman said she was calling from South Africa! Then she sent a text with a 'confirmation' number to prove it was legit - but of course, scammers can do that too, even if it looks like it's from o2! Don’t share any details to prove who you are, they should already have that info. When I questioned it, she said she couldn’t say anything until I confirmed my identity - very sneaky! Anyway, now they’re blocked.

So, I rang up O2 after getting a call from this number. They looked into it and said it’s definitely one of their numbers, not some dodgy scam. Honestly, we’re all getting super wary nowadays, and with good reason. It’s hard to trust anyone these days. Glad this call turned out to be legit and nothing to worry about.

Some bloke said he was ringing from O2. I’m with O2 myself but they always let you know which numbers they call from, and it’s never some random Manchester one. When I asked why he was calling, he said there were rewards for me (he claimed he was a third party working for O2, which I doubt O2 would do). I told him I wasn’t interested and he just kept saying he was doing his job. When I said no firmly, he still wouldn’t stop, so I just ended the call. I’ve blocked loads of numbers pretending to be O2 now, it’s getting ridiculous.

A bloke said he was Cory from O2 and wanted to thank me for being a loyal customer with a little reward. He sounded quite polite and professional, but then asked me to verify my surname and address for security reasons. I told him I wasn’t sure he was actually from O2 and didn’t want to give out personal info to someone I didn’t know. He told me it was because of GDPR rules they had to check security first, and offered to hang up if I preferred. I decided to end the call there. It may have been O2, but with all the scams going around on the phone, I didn’t fancy the risk.

So I just had this bloke ring me up and he somehow knew my personal password for my account. Then he tried to sell me a tablet, even though I already have one with O2. While we were talking, he sent me a text with a verification code, but instead of the usual "02UK" as the sender, it showed up as "O2 UK". He also said if I was worried, I could call 202 to check, but I’m pretty sure from a mobile it should be 2202. I’m still not sure if it’s a clever scam or if I’m just overthinking it after reading all the comments here!

They keep ringing but I never pick up since I don’t recognise the number. I’m not convinced it’s really O2 because they normally call from an 0300 number. If they’ve got info on your contract, it sounds like some kind of data leak and you should probably tell O2 about it.

Got a call from 02, a guy who seemed to know loads about me and my contract, even mentioned I get 1000 minutes. He tried to convince me to pay an extra £1 for unlimited calls. He said he wouldn't need any more details, sounded quite convincing. But my phone gave me a warning about possible fraud or that I might have agreed to something dodgy. Curious how they managed to get hold of so much info bout my contract.
