You lot are mad thinking every call is a scam, living like everyone’s just tryna cheat you ain’t healthy. Most just wanna help you save a bit on your phone bill or offer a better deal. Sometimes people don’t even wanna save cash but then moan about spending too much or being stuck with bad deals. Just hear them out, see what they say, and if it’s not any better, fair enough.

I dunno why everyone’s jumping to call it a scam, they actually store your info including security questions in their system. They’re just ringing up to tell you about discounts like 20%-50% off stuff. If you’re not interested, just decline, no need to panic and say it’s some kind of scam lol.

Sounds like it’s a company O2 passed your info on to. I got a call from them too, and when I wouldn’t give out my info, they got pretty pushy. If you check your O2 account under contact preferences, you’ll see options for third party contacts - just untick those boxes. You can also ring them back, press 2, and it’ll take your number off their list.

Some bloke claimed he was from o2 and wanted to chat about discounts on my account. He asked for my address, date of birth and what phone I was using. I told him surely he could just explain the discounts to me since he called first. He said no, and when I said forget the discounts then, he told me he’d be taking all discounts off my account. I ended the call but maybe I should’ve asked how he planned to do that without my details. Feels a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Pretty much the same, they said they were from O2. Asked for my postcode, and I dumbly gave it out thinking it was just a normal call. Then they kept asking if anyone in my family or a mate needed a tablet. I kept saying no and eventually they just gave up and said thanks for answering.
