I nearly fell for a ruse when someone claimed to be from my life insurance company. Thankfully, I caught on just in time to see they were merely fishing for personal details. Stay vigilant, everyone!

I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I just let it go to voicemail. No idea who it might’ve been though. Someone else was looking into it with me at the same time, so it might have been some kind of spam.

This number has rung me up three times in the past day, and I've actually answered all of them. They're trying to sell life insurance, but I made it clear straight away that I wasn't interested. Still, they kept on calling. When I requested they send me some details, they said they weren’t allowed to do that and that they don't operate like that, which made me suspicious that it might be a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they were calling on behalf of Vitality Insurance, but then they asked me who my policy was with. When I told them I wasn’t going to share any personal details as I wasn’t sure if they were legit, they got a bit rude. Right after that, the caller hung up on me. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

A chap rang my fiancée, claiming he was part of some "review team" looking into our life insurance. He inquired if our cover was with L&G, to which we replied in the negative. Then he proceeded to ask if we were with Royal London or Scottish Widows. When I questioned him, saying, "Excuse me, who exactly is this?" he promptly hung up. This definitely feels like either a marketing ploy or a dodgy scam. It’s worth noting that your life insurance provider wouldn’t share your personal information with some outside “review team” due to Data Privacy regulations and GDPR. So, best to be cautious with these sorts of calls.

I missed a call from this number and when I tried to return it, I was kept on hold for what felt like an eternity. It gives me the impression that it’s likely some sort of marketing ploy or maybe even a scam.

Initially, I thought it was a genuine call, but it quickly became clear that he didn't belong to my life insurance company. He bizarrely meandered into a conversation about the coronavirus and England’s ties with China while I was supposedly being put through to a "supervisor". Quite unsettling, really. I decided to hang up and block the number. The whole thing felt rather peculiar, to say the least.

I received a cheeky call from this lot, but they didn’t bother leaving a message. Apparently, they’re a legitimate outfit that provides phone numbers to companies, yet I've heard whispers about their dodgy reputation. In any case, I’ve no interest in their services, so I've gone ahead and blocked them. Cheers!

we keep getting calls from this number a few times every week but when we pick up, no one says anything. if we don’t pick up, it just rings until it goes to the answerphone but they never leave a message.
