I just picked up a call from 0161 464 6176, some bloke called Geoffrey Mason. Proper rude, kept shouting even after I told him I wasn't interested. When I said I didn’t have any PPI or bank refunds, he just laughed at me. Honestly, really unpleasant guy. Best thing is to just block the number and don’t waste your time picking up!

I got a call from this number 0161 464 6176 on the 15th April at about 10 in the morning while I was busy at work, so I didn’t pick up. Then they rang me again on the 29th April around 5:30 pm and this time I answered. The person said I could get some money back from a cheque I supposedly sent last year, but I haven’t written any cheques in a couple of years. So I told them I was only 13, and they quickly got quiet, said sorry, and hung up. I have no clue where they are getting my details like name and address from since I never gave out that info. I’ve told my family and mates to watch out for these calls as they seem to be scams trying to steal cash.

How can I report this con? Someone called, saying my partner has a cheque waiting for PPI refund from a bank loan she took out two years back. Thing is, she’s been using my account for the last 5 years and closed her own ages ago. Absolute joke, felt like they were saying straight-up “we wanna nick your cash, can you help?” Proper idiots. I just got a call from this 0161 464 6176 number and the bloke was really pushy, telling me I was due a refund for something I supposedly paid off. Thing is, I’m only 17, so there’s no way that’s true. He somehow had my National Insurance number, my name, and my phone number. When I told him I’m under 18, he quickly said it must be a mistake and hung up. I stayed on the line a bit longer and could hear him shouting to some lads in what sounded like a pub or something similar. Honestly, I wouldn’t pick up if this number rings again or give out any info. Wish I caught his name, but he spoke so fast and had a thick accent, possibly from down south. On 7th April 2015, I received a call from someone saying they were with a firm called Jeff Williams. When I looked it up, it showed a furniture business based in Torquay, Devon. But this guy said he was ringing from their Manchester branch, which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist. He used my name and mentioned I was due a refund from them. Thing is, I’ve never bought anything from Jeff Williams, so I have no idea what refund he was talking about.
