I ended up keeping them on the line for a good three minutes, just to mess about. Thought I’d waste a bit of their time back! Every time they call now, I make sure to waste more of theirs before hanging up. Have blocked this number already. Does anyone know if there’s an app that regularly updates with all these spam numbers and stops them from ringing? Would be handy if it did!

I got a call from this number a few times over the past week. The first call, I couldn’t really catch what the person was saying because of their thick Asian accent. Today, the woman on the line said she was from something called "The Claims Professionals" and even used my name! As soon as I heard that company name, I just ended the call. I got a call from some bloke claiming I had money waiting from an insurance policy. Even though I’m no mug and spotted straight away it smelt like a scam, what really threw me was that the call came on my mobile - a number only a handful of family and close mates have. I keep wondering how they got all that info, like properly addressing me with “Mr John Smith” - made-up name, but still. I snapped back pretty quick, 'cos who wants these dodgy calls in the middle of the night? Surely if there was genuine cash owed, we’d already be in the loop ourselves. It’s sick how these creeps target vulnerable folks. If they keep ringing me, trust me, I’m reporting them, and I hope they get locked up for ages. Honestly, stop wasting your time on this crap and find an honest way to make a living.

Got a call out of the blue, and the bloke knew my entire name. He kept going on about something like "Have you looked into Payment Protection insurance?" but a bit different each time. Looks like this is a dodgy number, judging by what others have said here. I’ve had a few calls from a bloke’s voice on the line before - machine-like, asking pre-recorded questions and waiting for my reply. They never properly answered until today, when they asked which TV service provider I use. I told them straight to take me off their list and hung up, but they rang me again about an hour later! Since I used to work as a lead generator in a call centre, I know the drill: you gotta report these sorts to stop them. They didn’t respect my request and kept me on their list, so unless you either complete whatever they want or block them, they’ll keep calling back.
