Theres an app called truecaller you can get which lets you block numbers even if your phone cant do it on its own.

This number rang me once more. I picked up this time and the caller asked if they were speaking to Mrs Annie. I said no (not entirely wrong but close enough). I told them to delete my number from their records and warned that if they called again, they’d be breaking data protection laws and could face legal action. Then the call just dropped. Sadly, I can’t block calls on my current phone. When I get a new one, I’m definitely getting one with a call blocking feature.

Got a call from this number twice today. Picked up on the second ring and this bloke with a really pushy tone asked for me by name, even said my address, claiming I was due up to £2000 for PPI. When I asked what it was about, he told me to stop cutting him off and went on about sending me a letter that I had to sign and send back. I told him I don’t have any loans or credit cards, then he started shouting at me down the phone, saying I was wasting his time. Total muppet just hassling me. Do yourself a favour and don’t pick up calls from this number - block it straight away.

They claimed to be payment protection services. Even though the number was from Manchester, the person speaking had a strong foreign accent that was hard to follow. They kept mentioning loans from about 17 years ago. I can’t really recall enough to say if what they said was right. They did know my address and said they'd be sending me some paperwork. Then they started asking more questions, but honestly, with their accent I couldn't quite catch what they were saying. I've blocked the number now and will wait to see if anything arrives in the post before shredding it.

She insisted it was necessary to move forward, and I said no thanks, then they just ended the call.
